Degree and Certificate Framing
These pieces of paper that you work very hard for should be protected properly on the wall.
That in mind, we created a range of standard certificate frames designed to bring a quality, protective framing job to a more affordable price point.
This gives people the option of going for the standard option, or custom framing to get creative with the look, but both parties will know their hard earned qualifications and awards will be safe for the long haul.
Custom Framing vs. Standard Frames
We have a limited range of options for the standard certificate frames as we only have so much storage at the workshop for all the variations, so we have chosen the combination that is most sympathetic to the variety of paper tones you get with degrees.
Using a black frame, your choice of black or white archival mat, and a choice between standard or UV protecting glass gives you a classic look that wont date. We have options specifically catered to all the major Aotearoa Tertiary Institutions, and a few standard A sized frames covering other standard certificate sizes.
But if you’re after something a bit more exciting, the world is your oyster. We have a wide range of samples on the wall that you can choose from, and we will custom create the frame you dreamed of.
We have done a lot of both, so if you need our guidance that’s what we’re here for.
We have done all sorts of options over the years, from classic wood frames, to large ornate frames.
A big part of framing a degree or certificate is thinking about longevity. Because this is something that you’ll likely display for a long time, it is good to think about framing it in such a way that will work with your taste long term. Think classic and timeless for your framing (unless you want to reframe it down the line).
Classic and timeless will mean different things for different people. If you know your decor style and want to go for something more bold, that may serve you and your space really well for a long time, but going for something on trend could end up looking out of place in 5-10 years.
What options are there for Custom Framing?
Reframing is easy though, so if you change your mind down the line, don’t stress. We will frame them in such a way that you can start again from scratch whenever you want.
The biggest thing is UV protecting glass, especially on a degree with a red seal. We have seen these fade drastically in less than a year for customers who used standard glass.
